GINA MCGARRY is an initiated ard bandraoi and ordained priestess of the Fellowship of Isis. She was trained in herbalism by her Irish -born grandmother Ethel McGarry, Rosemary Gladstar, Susun Weed and Gandpa Roberts, a Cherokee medicine man, among others. She has been a professional herbalist for 25 years, and is an avid researcher of Celtic and pre-Celtic culture, history and ethno-botany. She has studied with Starhawk, Hallie Inglehart Austin and Vicki Noble in the magical traditions. She also draws on her degree work in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco.
She operated a Free Clinic for 15 years in the US, where she served people with AIDS, Cancer and a vast array of other health issues, gaining broad experience in the healing power of herbs and other holistic therapies.
Gina is Director and principle tutor of Brighid’s Academy. The main body of courses at the Academy are taught by Gina and offer a low student / instructor ratio.
