CURRICULUM INCLUDES: THE PHILOSOPHIES & ROOTS OF HEALING HUMAN ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY: THE SYSTEMS OF THE BODY Nervous, Digestive, Circulatory, Urinary, Reproductive, Cardiovascular & Musculo/skeletal, Endocrine and Immune. WILDCRAFTING AND BOTANY A practical approach to the identification of the main plant families. Major plants, their nature, habitat and physical recognition. Endangered and at-risk plant species. THE HEALER'S DISCIPLINES PLANTING SEEDS Creating an herbal medicine garden, Lunar gardening, Elemental planting. THE GREEN PHARMACY Medicine making: the tools, ingredients & processes. Tinctures and infusions, elixirs and cordials, infused oils, salves, lotions and ointments, poultices and steams. THE SPIRIT OF HEALING Holistic Perspectives and techniques. MATERIA MEDICA, MATERIA MAGICA Therapeutic actions and properties, scientific data, esoteric & folk knowledge. These coursework hours may be applied toward the Arts & Sciences Certified Herbalist Program requirements 1 weekend each month for 9 months March through November, Saturdays 11am - 5pm Tuition: Euro 700 graduates receive a certificate of completion |
