A triple goddess of prime importance to all European Celtic tribes, she has been honored as Lady of Healing, Midwife of Consciousness, keeper of the Sacred Flame and healing waters and a real woman of flesh, blood and bone, who knew the arts of brewing ale, and formulating herbal teas. She is said to govern and assist the fire of the poets heart, of the healers hands and the smith's forge. |

| Brighid's Academy Located in the rural countryside of County Westmeath, Ireland, the acadamy coursework provides students with the knowledge and skills needed for a career in herbalism and a proficiency in Celtic spirituality. Although we do not provide a formal placement service, employers frequently contact the Academy in search of students and graduates for work opportunities. The Director provides career and education counseling to any student needing assistance. The main body of courses at the Academy are taught by the Director and Head of Faculty, Gina McGarry, and offer a low student / instructor ratio.
